How language switching works
When a guest clicks a language link:
The site switches to show that language version
They see the sections and pages for that language
Their preference is saved for their session
They can click another language link to switch again
Languages are independent
Remember that each language has its own independent sections and pages. When you added the language, all your content was automatically duplicated and translated. After that:
Each language version can be edited separately
You can have different layouts and content per language
Changes to one language don't affect others
Disabling language links
To remove language links from your menu:
Go to Site settings → Menu tab
Find Display languages in menu
Turn the toggle off
Click Save changes
Recommended formats
For 2-3 languages: Flag icon + language name (clear and friendly)
For 4+ languages: 2-letter code or flag icon (saves space)
If flags might be sensitive: Language name or code only
Testing
After enabling:
Visit your live site
Click each language link
Make sure content displays correctly in each language
Test on mobile too
