How do I preview my website?
See how your website looks to guests before publishing changes.
Short answer: Click the Preview button in your website editor to see your site as guests will see it.
Finding the preview option
Go to Website > Builder
Look for View site button (usually top right)
Click to open preview in a new tab
Preview vs published site
Preview: Shows your current edits, even if not published
Published site: What guests actually see
Changes only go live when you publish.
Previewing on different devices
To check mobile and tablet views:
1. Open preview in your browser
2. Resize the browser window, or
3. Use browser developer tools (F12)
4. Select mobile device view
What to check in preview
Content:
- All text is correct and formatted
- Images display properly
- Links work correctly
- No placeholder text remaining
Design:
- Colors and fonts look right
- Spacing is consistent
- Sections flow well together
Functionality:
- Navigation menu works
- RSVP button/link works
- External links open correctly
- Forms function properly
Mobile:
- Text is readable
- Images aren't cut off
- Buttons are tappable
- Menu works on small screens
Sharing preview with others
To get feedback before publishing:
1. Publish to a hidden/unpublished state if possible
2. Or take screenshots to share
3. Or add them as a team member temporarily
