RSVP settings
Learn how to configure your RSVP form settings including enabling RSVPs, guest lookup, plus-ones, response options, guest details collection, and redirects.
The RSVP settings panel controls who can access your form, what information you collect, and what happens when the form is closed.
Plan requirement: Standard or Pro plan
How to access settings
Go to RSVP > Form
Click RSVP settings
Adjust your preferences
Click Save
Enable RSVPs
Toggle Enable RSVPs to start collecting online RSVPs on your site. Guests will not be able to RSVP until this setting is enabled.
Important: To close the RSVP form, toggle off Enable RSVPs. The deadline date (configured in Edit emails) is for reminders only — it doesn't automatically close the form.
Redirect to
When RSVPs are disabled, choose where guests are taken instead:
Form closed notice - Shows a message that the form is closed (default)
Wedding website - Redirects to your wedding website
Save the date - Redirects to your save the date page
Invitation - Redirects to your invitation page
Custom URL - Redirects to any URL you enter
Find guests by
Choose how guests identify themselves on your RSVP form:
First and last name - Guests search for their name to find their record (default)
Email address - Guests enter their email address to look up their record
Direct link only - Guests can only access the RSVP form through a personalized link (no lookup step)
Enable RSVPs for
Choose which guests can access the RSVP form:
Anyone on our guest list - All guests on your list can RSVP (default)
A-list guests only - Only A-list guests can RSVP
B-list guests only - Only B-list guests can RSVP
Anyone who visits our site - Anyone can RSVP, even if they're not on your guest list
When Find guests by is set to Direct link only, this option is disabled since access is controlled entirely by the personalized link.
Allow +1s and children
Allow +1s - Toggle this on to let all guests bring an additional person when filling out the RSVP form.
Allow children - Toggle this on to let all households add children when RSVPing.
If you only want some of your guests to have +1s or bring children, leave these options unchecked and use the guest list and households instead to enable them per guest or per household.
Display "Unsure" option for attendance
Enable this option to allow guests to select "Unsure" as their RSVP status for the wedding and other events. When enabled, guests see three choices: Attending, Not attending, and Unsure.
Guest details
Choose which details to collect from guests during the RSVP process. Use Select all or Clear all to quickly toggle all options.
Email address - Collect or update guest email
Phone number - Collect guest phone number
Household address - Collect mailing address
Dietary requirements - Ask about dietary needs
Leave a message - Allow guests to write a personal message
Display "Go back to site" link
When enabled, guests can click this link to return to your wedding website after completing their RSVP.
RSVP link and QR code
At the bottom of the settings panel, you'll find:
RSVP link - A shareable URL to your RSVP form. Click Copy link to copy it to your clipboard.
QR code - A scannable code that opens your RSVP form. Click Download QR code to save it as an image.
Share these with your guests so they can access the RSVP form directly.
Tips
Name lookup is safer. Using name-based lookup means only people on your guest list can RSVP. Setting "Enable RSVPs for" to "Anyone who visits our site" lets anyone respond.
Enable plus-ones carefully. Turning on Allow +1s means everyone gets one. If you only want certain guests to have plus-ones, leave this off and set it per guest instead.
Only collect what you need. A shorter form means more people will complete it. Don't ask for a phone number if you'll never call anyone.
Use "Direct link only" for privacy. If you want to keep your wedding private, set "Find guests by" to "Direct link only" so only guests with a personalized link can access the RSVP form.
Keep redirects relevant. When the form is closed, redirecting to your invitation or wedding website gives visitors something useful.
