How do I set a capacity limit?
WedSites does not currently have a built-in per-event capacity limit or waitlist feature.
Plan requirement: Standard or Pro plan
Short answer: There is no automatic capacity setting that stops RSVPs at a certain number. To control who can RSVP to an event, use the Exclusive guest list option to hand-pick which guests are invited to each event.
Controlling attendance with exclusive guest lists
The best way to manage capacity is to control who can RSVP to each event in the first place:
Go to RSVP > Events
Click on the event you want to limit
Enable the Exclusive guest list toggle
Select which specific guests are invited to that event
Click Save
Only the guests you select will see that event on their RSVP form. Everyone else will not be able to RSVP for it.
Managing capacity manually
Since there is no automatic cutoff, here are some practical approaches:
Use the A-list / B-list system. Invite your A-list first. As declines come in, send invitations to B-list guests to fill spots.
Monitor your RSVP dashboard. Keep an eye on the number of confirmed guests for each event and stop sending invitations when you approach your venue limit.
Close RSVPs when full. If an event reaches capacity, you can turn off RSVP for that event or set an RSVP deadline to prevent further responses.
Tips
Keep a buffer below your venue maximum to account for plus-ones and last-minute changes
Use guest groups and lists to organize invitations in waves
Check your RSVP numbers regularly as your deadline approaches
Remember that not every invited guest will RSVP yes — typical acceptance rates vary
