Using a date selector question

Learn how to create a date selector RSVP question where guests pick a date from a calendar (Standard or Pro plan).

Date selector questions let guests choose a date using a calendar picker. They're useful when you need to know arrival dates, departure dates, or any other date-specific information from your guests.

Plan requirement: Standard or Pro plan

When to use a date selector

Use a date selector when you need guests to provide a specific date:

  • Arrival date - "What date will you be arriving?"

  • Check-in date - "When are you checking in?"

  • Departure date - "What date are you leaving?"

Date selectors are ideal for destination weddings or multi-day celebrations where guests arrive and depart on different days.

How it appears to guests

Guests see your question with a text field that opens a calendar picker when clicked. They can browse through months and select a specific date. The selected date appears in the text field.

Setting up a date selector question

  1. Go to RSVP > Questions

  2. Click Add new question

  3. Select Date selector as the type

  4. Enter your question title

  5. Configure additional settings

  6. Click Add question

Configuration options

Description - Add optional helper text below the question. For arrival dates, you might add "The venue is available from Friday June 12th" to help guests plan.

Required - Set whether guests must answer before submitting their RSVP.

Per household or per guest - Ask once per household or once per individual guest. Arrival and departure dates usually work well per household since families tend to travel together.

Link to event - Link this question to a specific event if it only applies to certain guests.

Tips

Give context about dates. Use the description to mention key dates, like when the venue is available or when welcome events start.

Great for destination weddings. If you're planning events around the main ceremony, knowing when guests arrive helps you plan welcome dinners, group activities, and farewell brunches.

Pair with other questions. Ask for arrival date alongside an accommodation question to get a complete picture of guest travel plans.
