What's new
You can now package your live wedding website into a single .zip file and save it to your computer as a permanent offline copy. We walk through every published page — home, custom pages, save the date, and invitation — capture all the images, fonts, and stylesheets, and bundle them together so the whole thing works straight from your hard drive.
How it works
Go to Website > Builder
Click the settings icon to open Site settings
Scroll to Website backup at the bottom of the sidebar
Click Generate new backup
We'll email you a download link when the zip is ready (it can take a few minutes depending on how much content you have)
Download the zip, unzip it, and open
index.htmlin any browser
The download link is emailed to the user who requested the backup.

Multilingual support
If you're on the Pro plan and have added extra languages, the backup includes all of them. Your primary language sits at the root of the zip and each other language lives in its own folder (ja/, fr/, and so on). The language switcher still works offline, so a guest viewing the backup can flip between translations just like on the live site.
What won't work offline
A backup is a frozen, static copy — it has no server behind it, so anything that needs a live backend is disabled:
RSVP forms can't receive submissions
Guestbook posts can't be added (existing entries captured at export time stay in the HTML)
Guest check-in and password protection aren't enforced
Any contact form or interactive feature that talks to a server stops working
For live RSVP collection, keep your site published on WedSites. The backup is a keepsake, not a replacement.
Why use it
Keep a souvenir forever. Even when your hosting ends, you keep a beautiful static copy of the website you spent months building.
Archive before a big change. Generate a backup before resetting your site, switching themes, or doing a major redesign so you always have the old version to look back on.
Host it yourself. Because the files are plain HTML, you can upload them to any static host (Netlify, GitHub Pages, your own server) if you want the site to live on outside of WedSites.
Hand off to a developer. If someone wants to take over the site, the zip gives them everything they need to start.
Tips
Wait until the content is final. Generate the backup after your last round of edits so you capture the version you want to keep forever.
Regenerate after big changes. If you add a new page or translate into a new language, create a fresh backup so the archive matches the live site.
Grab the email link promptly. The download link is time-limited. If it expires, just click Generate new backup and we'll send a fresh one.

index.html, and click through to make sure everything looks right.
