Recording and managing payments

Learn how to record and manage all your wedding payments in one central location with status tracking and filtering.

The payments section gives you a central view of all your wedding-related payments, whether they're linked to vendors, budget items, or both.

Plan requirement: Pro plan

How to record a payment

  1. Go to Planner > Payments and click to add a new payment

  2. Fill in all the details (Amount, Payer, dates, links, notes)

  3. Click Save payment or Save and add more

Marking as paid

When you make a payment, set the Paid on date. This moves the payment from "unpaid" to "paid" status.

Payment statuses

  • Paid - Has a paid date

  • Due today - Due today, not yet paid

  • Overdue - Past due, not yet paid

  • Upcoming - Due date is in the future

  • Unpaid - No due date set, not yet paid

Payment filters

At the top of your payments list, filter by:
- All - Every payment
- Today - Payments due today
- Overdue - Past due payments
- Upcoming - Future payments
- Paid - Completed payments

Tips

Link to both vendor and budget. This creates a complete chain: vendor > payment > budget item. Everything stays connected.

Set due dates as early as possible. Your dashboard will remind you about upcoming and overdue payments.
