Composing a save the date email
Learn how to create and send a save the date email to let guests know your wedding date and location (Standard or Pro plan).
The save the date template comes pre-written with your wedding date and city, making it quick to create and send. It's typically the first email communication you send to guests.
Plan requirement: Standard or Pro plan
When to use a save the date email
Send a save the date email when:
You've set your date and venue - Give guests advance notice so they can plan
6 to 12 months before the wedding - Earlier for destination weddings
Before sending invitations - This is the first step in your communication timeline
Save the date emails are different from save the date ecards. The email is sent through the Sending feature, while the ecard is a designed digital card created in the Ecards section. You can use either or both.
