How do I resize and position images?
Adjust how photos appear on your wedding website for the best look.
Short answer: Image display size is controlled by the section width. Use the increase/decrease arrows on a section to change how wide it appears.
Resizing images
Images in WedSites fill their section width automatically. To control image size:
Hover over the section containing your image in the page preview
Click the increase arrow (right) to make the section wider, or the decrease arrow (left) to make it narrower
The section width cycles through: 1/4, 1/3, 1/2, 3/4, and Full width
Image positioning
To change how an image aligns within its section:
Click on the image section to open the section editor
Switch to the Advanced tab
Use the Alignment setting to choose left, center, or right alignment
Cropping images
There is no in-editor crop tool. To crop your images:
Use an image editor (like your phone's photo editor or an online tool) to crop the image before uploading
Upload the cropped version to replace the original
Image sizing tips
For header images:
- Use high resolution (at least 1920px wide)
- Landscape orientation works best
- Keep important elements centered (edges may crop on mobile)
For content images:
- 800-1200px wide is usually sufficient
- Optimize file size for faster loading
- Match aspect ratios for consistent look
Handling different screen sizes
Images may display differently on:
- Desktop computers
- Tablets
- Mobile phones
Preview on different devices to ensure images look good everywhere.
If images appear blurry
Common causes:
- Original image too small
- Image stretched beyond its size
- Low resolution upload
Solution: Upload a higher resolution version.
If images are cropped unexpectedly
This often happens due to:
- Responsive design adjustments
- Aspect ratio differences
- Mobile view optimizations
Try adjusting the focal point or using a different crop.
Tips
