Using a Yes/No question

Learn how to create a Yes/No RSVP question where guests choose between two options (Standard or Pro plan).

Yes/No questions present guests with a simple binary choice. They appear as radio buttons on the RSVP form where guests select either Yes or No.

Plan requirement: Standard or Pro plan

When to use Yes/No

Use Yes/No when you need a straightforward binary answer:

  • Shuttle transportation - "Would you like to take our shuttle to the venue?"

  • Accommodation help - "Do you need help finding accommodation?"

  • Staying at venue - "Will you be staying at the venue?"

Yes/No is the simplest question type and works best when the answer is truly one or the other. If you need more than two options, use multiple choice or dropdown instead.

How it appears to guests

Guests see your question with two radio buttons labeled "Yes" and "No." They click one to select their answer. Only one option can be selected.

Setting up a Yes/No question

  1. Go to RSVP > Questions

  2. Click Add new question

  3. Select Yes/No as the type

  4. Enter your question title

  5. Configure additional settings

  6. Click Add question

Configuration options

Description - Add optional helper text below the question. For a shuttle question, you might add "The shuttle departs from the Grand Hotel at 3:00 PM."

Required - Set whether guests must answer before submitting their RSVP.

Per household or per guest - Ask once per household or once per individual guest. Shuttle requests often work well per household, while dietary-related yes/no questions might need to be per guest.

Link to event - Link this question to a specific event if it only applies to certain guests.

Tips

Word questions clearly. Make sure "Yes" and "No" are unambiguous answers. "Would you like to take the shuttle?" is clearer than "Regarding the shuttle..."

Use the description for details. If you're asking about a shuttle, include the departure time and pickup location in the description.

Consider using this for planning counts. Yes/No questions make it easy to get a count. How many guests need the shuttle? Just count the "Yes" responses.
