How do I get a link to a specific event RSVP?

Share a direct RSVP link or QR code for a single event like a rehearsal dinner, welcome party, or brunch so guests can respond to just that event.

Plan requirement: Standard or Pro plan

Short answer: Every event has its own unique RSVP link and QR code on the RSVP tab of the event editor. Copy the link or download the QR code and share it with guests.

Where to find the event RSVP link

  1. Go to RSVP > Events

  2. Click the event you want to share

  3. Go to the RSVP tab

  4. Scroll down to Event RSVP link

  5. Click Copy link to copy the URL, or click Download QR code to save the scannable image

Each event has a unique random token in its URL (like yoursite.wedsites.com/rsvp/a3f9b2...) so links can't be guessed or shared between events.

How the event link works

When a guest opens the event link, they go straight to an RSVP form for that one event. They don't have to respond to the main wedding first. This makes it ideal for:

  • Rehearsal dinners

  • Welcome parties

  • Day-after brunches

  • After-parties

  • Farewell gatherings

  • Optional extras

The guest's response only updates their status for that specific event — it doesn't touch their main wedding RSVP.

What's different from the main RSVP form

The event link skips the main wedding attendance step and only shows content related to this event:

  • No main wedding question - Guests aren't asked whether they're coming to the wedding overall.

  • Event-specific questions only - Questions tied to other events don't appear.

  • No A/B list filter - The main RSVP form's A/B list setting doesn't apply here.

  • Independent response - A guest can decline the main wedding and still RSVP "Attending" to this event (or vice versa).

The event's exclusive guest list still applies — if a guest isn't on the list for this event, they can't RSVP through the link.

Optional toggles for the event form

On the RSVP tab of the event, you can fine-tune the event-specific form:

  • Include general questions - When on, questions not tied to any specific event will also show up on this event's form.

  • Collect guest details - When on, guests are asked for email, phone, address, dietary needs, and an optional message.

  • Enable RSVPs (in the header) - Master switch. When off, both the main form and the event link are closed.

Where to share the link

  • Email the link - Send a separate email for optional events like a Sunday brunch.

  • Print the QR code - Add it to day-of signage at the welcome dinner so guests can RSVP on the spot.

  • Insert it in invitations - Print the QR code on an invitation insert for side events.

  • Text it - Drop the link in a group text for a pre-wedding hangout.

Tips

Test the link first. Open it in an incognito tab and walk through the flow to make sure everything looks right before sharing.

Turn off "Include in main RSVP" if the event is link-only. If you only want guests to RSVP via the direct link, toggle off Include in main RSVP on the event so it doesn't also appear on the main form.

Regenerate by deleting and re-adding. If a link leaks, delete the event and re-create it to get a new random token.
