Terms of service overview

High-level summary of the legal agreement between you and WedSites covering usage rights and responsibilities.

This is a plain-English summary of the WedSites terms of service. The full terms are at wedsites.com/terms, and if anything here differs from them, the full terms apply.

Who the agreement is with

WedSites is run by Indigosoft Pty Ltd (ACN 613 305 918) as trustee for the Indigo Trust, trading as Wedding Websites (ABN 55 714 015 461).

Your agreement with WedSites is made up of the terms of service, the privacy policy, and any terms specific to the service you buy. By visiting the WedSites site, you agree to the terms and the privacy policy.

Creating an account

  • You must be 18 or older to create an account.

  • The information you give WedSites must be true, accurate, and kept up to date.

  • You're responsible for all activity on your account, whether it's you or someone else. Tell WedSites straight away if you think someone else has used your account.

Paying for your plan

  • Couples pay a single one-time fee for their plan. There's no subscription.

  • Your plan includes hosting for a set period: 6 months for Basic, 12 months for Standard, and 24 months for Pro.

  • You can upgrade later by paying the difference between plans.

  • To keep your site live after your hosting period ends, you buy a hosting extension.

  • If WedSites raises its prices, the new prices don't affect couples who have already bought a plan.

Refunds

Every purchase comes with a 14-day money-back guarantee, and you request it yourself at wedsites.com/refunds. After 14 days, the terms don't entitle you to a refund unless WedSites materially fails to deliver the services it promised, or a refund is required by law. Any other refund is at WedSites' discretion. See Cancellation and refund policy for the details.

Your content

  • You keep ownership of everything you upload: your text, photos, and guest information.

  • You give WedSites a license to use that content only so it can run your website and services, for as long as the content is stored with WedSites.

  • WedSites can remove content for technical, storage, or legal reasons, for example photos that break the law or attract a serious complaint.

WedSites' content

WedSites owns its templates, designs, and other content. You can customize templates for your own wedding, but you can't copy them, claim you made them, or resell them.

Your guests

When you send ecards or share your website, the people you send it to get access to your website and everything you've added to it. You're responsible for how your guests use the site.

What you can't do

The terms prohibit using WedSites to:

  • Send spam or unwanted commercial messages

  • Harass people

  • Do anything unlawful, or anything that could damage WedSites' reputation

  • Tamper with the site or send viruses or other harmful code

  • Compete with WedSites or resell its services outside your plan

WedSites can limit or remove your access without notice if you break these rules, and can report serious cases to the authorities.

Feedback and reviews

If you post feedback publicly, for example a Google review or an Instagram story, WedSites can use it to promote WedSites. If you send feedback privately, WedSites only uses it anonymously unless you give permission to use your name. Change your mind later and WedSites will make reasonable efforts to remove it.

Your privacy

WedSites handles your information in line with its privacy policy. You can opt out of marketing emails at any time.

Service availability

WedSites doesn't promise the service will always be available or free of faults, and isn't responsible for disruptions caused by things outside its reasonable control.

Ending the agreement

  • You can stop using WedSites at any time.

  • WedSites can end the agreement and stop providing services with at least 30 days' notice.

  • WedSites can suspend or close your account immediately if you don't pay fees you owe, if you break the terms and don't or can't fix it, or if your behavior damages WedSites' reputation. In that case you aren't entitled to a refund, although WedSites can choose to refund part of what you paid.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, WedSites excludes liability for loss or damage, including lost data. Where liability can't be excluded, it's limited to supplying the service again, or paying the cost of supplying it again. Nothing in the terms removes the rights you have under consumer law.

Changes to the terms

WedSites can change the terms, and sometimes does so without notice. Check wedsites.com/terms from time to time. If WedSites changes the service in a way that negatively affects customers, it aims to tell you by email or on the site.

Resolving problems

Email [email protected] with:

  • Your name and email address

  • What the issue is, when it started, and what you've tried

  • How you'd like it resolved

  • Any screenshots or documents that help

WedSites confirms it has received your complaint within 5 business days and works to resolve it within 14 days. If it can't be resolved in that time, WedSites contacts you with next steps.

The terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
