Cancellation and refund policy
WedSites' policies on cancellations, refunds, and the 14-day money-back guarantee if you need to stop using the service.
WedSites plans and hosting extensions are one-time payments, not subscriptions. Every purchase comes with a 14-day money-back guarantee that you claim yourself, and there's never anything to cancel to stop future charges.
The 14-day money-back guarantee
Any WedSites purchase, whether a plan, an upgrade, or a hosting extension, can be refunded in full within 14 days of the purchase date. You don't need to give a reason or contact support.
Requesting a refund
Go to wedsites.com/refunds
Enter the email address of the wedding's account owner
Click the secure link we email you (it expires after 30 minutes)
Select the purchase you'd like refunded and confirm
Your refund goes back to your original payment method straight away, and we email you a confirmation. Depending on your bank, it can take 5 to 10 business days to appear on your statement.
Which purchase you can refund
Plans and hosting extensions are refunded separately, newest first:
Plans and upgrades: you can refund your most recent plan purchase. Once it's refunded, the purchase before it becomes refundable too, as long as it's still within its own 14 days.
Hosting extensions: the same rule applies. Your most recent hosting extension is refundable first.
For example, if you bought Standard and upgraded to Pro a week later, the Pro upgrade is refundable first. Refund it and you're back on Standard, and the Standard purchase is then refundable if it's still within 14 days.
What happens after a refund
Plan or upgrade refund:
- Your account goes back to the plan it had before that purchase, or to the free trial if it was your only purchase
- If you go back to the free trial, your website is unpublished and any custom domain is disconnected
- Your website content, guests, and other data stay in your account
Hosting extension refund:
- Your hosting period is reduced by exactly the amount you bought
- Your plan doesn't change
After 14 days
The money-back guarantee ends 14 days after your purchase, and the self-service refund page no longer shows that purchase. Under the terms of service, you aren't entitled to a refund after that unless WedSites materially fails to deliver the services it promised, or a refund is required by law. Any other refund is at WedSites' discretion, less the cost of services already provided.
If you think your situation qualifies, email [email protected] with your name, your account email, and what happened.
Stopping without a refund
You don't need to cancel anything. Because there's no subscription, you're never charged again after your purchase. You have three options:
Leave it: your website stays live until your hosting period ends (6 months for Basic, 12 months for Standard, 24 months for Pro), and you can keep using your dashboard
Delete your account: go to Settings > Account, click Delete account, and type DELETE to confirm. This permanently removes your website and all its data, and doesn't refund your purchase
Let hosting expire: your website goes offline when hosting ends, and your account is permanently deleted within 12 months after that unless you extend
If your wedding is postponed
Your hosting period starts when you buy your plan, not on your wedding date. If your wedding moves later than your hosting period, buy a hosting extension from Settings > Account > Manage hosting to keep your site live. Extensions are one-time payments of 1 month or 12 months, and you can buy up to 10 at once.
If you'd rather have your money back and you're within 14 days of purchase, request a refund at wedsites.com/refunds.
What the guarantee doesn't cover
Purchases made more than 14 days ago
Domain names, which you buy from your own domain registrar, not from WedSites
Before you request a refund
Export your guest list and RSVP responses if you want a copy
Download a website backup from Website > Builder > Site settings > Website backup
Contact support if something isn't working. We're happy to help fix it first, but you don't need to go through us to get a refund
