Configuring event restrictions

Learn how to control which guests see which events using the exclusive guest list toggle with event-specific plus-one settings (Standard or Pro plan).

Not every guest is invited to every event. Event restrictions let you control who sees which events in the RSVP form. There are three independent controls:

  1. Enable RSVPs - A master switch that hides the event from both the main form and its own link.

  2. Exclusive guest list - Hand-picks which guests are invited at all.

  3. Display this event to - Filters invited guests by their main wedding RSVP status.

Plan requirement: Standard or Pro plan

Exclusive guest list

When editing an event, you can control who sees it using the Exclusive guest list toggle:

  • Toggle OFF - All wedding guests can RSVP to this event. The listing shows "For all guests."

  • Toggle ON - Only selected guests can RSVP to this event. You hand-pick who's invited.

Setting up an exclusive guest list

  1. Go to the event

  2. Enable the Exclusive guest list toggle

  3. Go to the Guests tab

  4. Select the guests who should be invited to this event

  5. Click Save event

Only selected guests will see this event in their RSVP form.

Event-specific plus-ones and children

You can also configure plus-ones and children settings per event, giving you fine-grained control over who can attend each event.

Display this event to (audience)

Each event has a Display this event to dropdown that filters the event based on the guest's main wedding response:

  • Event guests attending our wedding (default) - Only guests who confirm they're attending the main wedding see this event.

  • Event guests not attending our wedding - Only guests who decline the main wedding see this event. Great for optional extras like a farewell brunch aimed at guests who can't make the ceremony.

  • All event guests - Every invited guest sees this event, regardless of their main wedding RSVP.

This setting only applies when main event attendance is turned on, and it works on top of the exclusive guest list. For example, you can set a Rehearsal Dinner to use an exclusive guest list of 30 people AND set the audience to "Event guests attending our wedding" — only the 30 invited guests who also confirm the main wedding will see the rehearsal dinner on their form.

Tips

Ceremony is usually for all guests. Most couples leave the ceremony open to all guests and use exclusive guest lists for smaller events like rehearsal dinners.

Check your guest list. After enabling the exclusive guest list, double-check that all the right people are included.
